A lot of visitors to this site are still using Internet Explorer 6 to browse the Internet. This is surprising given that this browser has been obsolete for over three years and the freely available Internet Explorer 8 was released nearly 12 months ago.
A few days ago the BBC reported that both the French and German governments had advised their citizens not to use Internet Explorer at all due to security issues and to choose an alternative browser such as Firefox or the new Google Chrome, both of which are free.
If you're wedded to Internet Explorer then the least you should do is upgrade to the latest version. Not only will this (or one of the other modern browsers mentioned above) make your web browsing safer, it should also give you a much better browsing experience and allow you to view all the websites you visit (including this one) with far fewer glitches.
