This is a not for profit site aimed at the local community of Rowington. No fees have been paid by any local organisation to appear on the site, there is no paid advertising and no sponsorship. However, there are overheads involved in the running of this site, mainly in the form of hosting fees, domain name registration fees and the cost of software updates.

 

In order to try to recoup some of these annual running costs, this site is now an Amazon affiliate. This means that if an item is bought from Amazon via any of the Amazon adverts and links on the site, a small percentage of the cost of the item (excluding VAT and shipping) up to a maximum amount per item will go towards the upkeep of the site.

 

It is now possible to buy not only books, videos and dvds from Amazon but also electronics, sports gear, items for the house and garden and much more. I have used Amazon for virtually all my book and cd purchases for some time and have never had any problems - goods are competitively priced, delivered quickly in good condition and, if you spend more than £15, standard delivery is free.

 

I am not suggesting that anyone should purchase something that they wouldn't otherwise buy, but if you are already an Amazon shopper or are interested in trying Amazon out, it would be very much appreciated if you could make your purchases via the links on this site and encourage others to do the same. It won't cost you a penny more but will make a small contribution towards the costs of keeping this website going.
