New Additions

A page has now been added about the Jane Ryland Charity and the Royal British Legion page has been updated to include additional information about the Rowington and Lapworth branch. As you will see if you visit these pages, anyone in the parish may apply to the trustees for financial assistance from the Jane Ryland charity, subject to meeting its charitable objects, and you don't have to have been a member of the services to join the British Legion.

Interestingly, both of these organisations have links to Rowington Club (formerly Rowington Men's Club and recently re-named to demonstrate its newly acquired inclusivity), as the Jane Ryland Charity derives its income from the Club and the local British Legion has its headquarters there. It is open to anyone to become a member of Rowington Club, whether or not they are residents of the parish, for a very reasonable annual membership fee. Given that some of its profits are available for charitable purposes, it seems to me that there is no excuse not to join.
