Lowsonford Women's Club

Lowsonford Women's Club was formed over 70 years ago by a group of ladies who lived in Lowsonford.

Meetings

The Club's members meet from March until the end July and from early September to December every fortnight on Wednesday afternoons from 2.30 pm until approximately 4.00 pm in Lowsonford Village Hall to have a cup of tea and a chat. The meetings are a good opportunity for members, mostly ladies of Lowsonford, to get to know one another.

Events

Throughout the year coffee mornings and various other events are held to raise money for local charities.

In 2007 the Club invited residents from Castle Froma, a home for disabled people in Leamington Spa, to visit the village hall in Lowsonford. This has become an annual event to which the residents say they look forward. If the weather is fine the residents and their helpers are able to sit on the lawn by the canal and watch the boats go by or take a walk over the canal bridge and along the towpath followed by tea and a chat in the hall.

The Christmas Sale always takes place in Lowsonford Village Hall on the first Saturday in December. There are always a variety of stalls selling new and first class goods, suitable for Christmas presents, as well as Christmas cards, wrapping paper etc and a 10p stall aimed at children.
