Rowington II v Kineton II
Rowington II v Kineton II
Rowington stuck Kineton in on a very flat wicket and were quickly rewarded with a very sharp run out by Richard Clarke and a nasty ball from Sam Turrell that nipped back through the gate to remove Tag for a duck. Adventurous play by Kineton kept the scoring racing along and Jason Pickering was soon amongst the wickets with a potential hat-trick on the cards at one stage and he finished with 4 for 38. With a second run out by spritely John Lange from the boundary, it was left to Richard Clarke and Stewart Jordan to wrap up the innings at 120 all out.
In response, Stewart Jordan (36) and Andy (jug evasion) Wade (46) carried the score to 88 before Anthony Collins (15 no) and Ollie King (9 no) saw the Rs home for their second win of the season. They have jumped from 8th to 4th as most of the other results went their way over the weekend.
The seconds are away to Alcester next weekend.
