Annual Dads v Lads Match and Junior Presentation Evening - 16 July 2007
Fifteen minutes before the Dads v Lads match was due to start, the sky went black and we had a torrential downpour. "Here we go again" we groaned as we took cover in the doorways of the club and huddled under the big umbrellas. But those who waited patiently were rewarded when the clouds passed and the sun shone down on the cricket club once again. The burgers on the barbecue sizzled and it was positively baking while the two matches went on simultaneously, enabling about fifty children to play against their parents. As usual the kids won convincingly.
After the matches all the children received a medal and then the trophies were handed out.
