Rowington Bridge Club

Rowington Bridge Club was set up by Franco Vegnuti and David Yorke in 1988 and celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Members originally met upstairs at the Tom O' The Wood pub but nowadays they meet every Monday evening (apart from bank holidays) at Rowington Village Hall, with play beginning at 7.30 pm.

The club has over 20 members and actively encourages new members. You don't have to live in Rowington to become a member and many members come from outside the parish. If you don't have a partner, the club will find one for you and, if you don't know how to play but would like to learn, basic bridge teaching can also be arranged. For those who know how to play but would like to improve, advanced level bridge tuition is also available.

Membership costs £5 per annum, usually payable in April, and thereafter £2 per session. The club also organises two dinners each year, one at Christmas and one in the summer, the cost of which is subsidised by the club.
