Computer Class - "Computing for the Terrified"

Computer classes are run by Stratford-upon-Avon College in Rowington Village Hall each week throughout term time. There are two classes on
Computer class
Mondays from 9.00 - 11.00 am or from 11.00 am - 1.00 pm.

Everyone is welcome and our tutor is very adaptable. If you have never used a computer and want to learn what to do, or have some knowledge but wish to improve, or even want to learn only certain skills, then this is the class for you.

We have use of an internet connection so you can also learn how to send e-mails and shop on line.

Family History Class

Family history classes are run by a group of local residents who wish to find out about our own ancestors. We have an excellent tutor, Katie Carr of Avon Ancestry, who guides us through the various internet sites and helps us draw up family trees and sort out who is really family from all the thousands of people with the same names.

Family history group

The cost of this class is borne solely by the group. The minimum fee is £5 per session but may be a little higher according to numbers. The class takes place on a Tuesday morning from 9.30 am – 12 00 noon. Classes are held all year round.

Further information

The computer and family history classes are held in the new Committee Room in Rowington Village Hall. Both groups are very friendly and, as well as working hard, we have a lot of fun and get though a lot of coffee and biscuits!
