Rowington Tennis Club is a small village tennis club which enjoys social relaxed tennis. The club has two courts situated in a delightful spot surrounded by fields behind Rowington Village Hall. In view of the rural location there is no floodlighting.
Play
Social tennis is played on Sunday afternoons at 2 pm throughout the year and from 1 May until late September on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm until late. Junior play is from 5 pm to 6 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays in summer, although there is currently no junior coaching. The club would be very pleased to hear from anyone who is interested in coaching the junior players.
New members are always welcome. There are currently no joining fees but annual subscriptions are £40 for adults, £12 for juniors (up to age 18) and £12 for vacational membership (for young players away at college or university who wish to play in the holidays). If you are interested in joining the Club, please telephone the membership secretary, Mrs Joan Shepherd, on 01564 782334. Alternatively, go along on a Sunday afternoon or on a Tuesday or Thursday evening in summer or to any of the events planned for next year, details of which will be posted here in early 2008.
