Management
The Village Hall is administered by a management committee under the chairmanship of Stephen Williams. The committee consists of a group of enthusiastic volunteers who represent most of the village societies and institutions. An Annual General Meeting is held each year (usually in June) at which the officers and management committee are elected, a report on the affairs of the management committee is delivered and the accounts are submitted for approval.
2007 Extension and Fundraising
Over the years the Village Hall has been well maintained and from time to time improvements have been carried out. In 2007 the Village Hall was extended to provide a large meeting room, a spacious and better planned kitchen and a new bar. New heating and lighting was also recently installed and the Hall is now equipped with a broadband internet connection.
Use and Hire of Village Hall
The Village Hall is a very important village facility and has been used throughout its life for a wide range of activities. It is ideal for meetings, training and educational events, dinners and parties. It can accommodate over 100 people seated at tables and has a stage with lighting, fully equipped kitchen and ample car parking.
There is an active social sub-committee which organises regular events in the Hall. The Hall is also used for meetings of, amongst others, the Women's Institute and the Parish Council. The Hall is available for hire by individuals and societies all year round.
