Dear  Member,

The 2008 Annual General meeting will be held at Rowington Village Hall on Thursday 3rd April 2008 at 8 pm.

(Following the AGM the new Committee will convene briefly).

Nominations for the Committee can be made via the nomination sheet in the Club Hut.

Once again I would invite anyone with any interest in the club to come forward, they will be most welcome.

The joining fee will again be suspended for this season. The committee has decided to maintain the subscriptions for 2008 as follows:

    Adults £40    Juniors £12.

I would remind you that subscriptions are due on 1st May and the lock combination changes on 1st June 2008. Click here for a subscription form, which should be returned directly to Mrs Joan Shepherd.

To help improve communication with our members, it would be helpful if you can add an e-mail address on your subscription form and you will note that on this year's form there is provision for you to include any outstanding visitor’s fees you may have overlooked from the 2007 season.

Your subscription entitles you to unlimited play and use of the Rowington Social Club in addition to use of the Village Hall on Tournament days. We will hold the AGM in the refurbished Village Hall which will be of great benefit to tennis club members in the future.

Member are welcome to bring visitors to play - the visitors' fee is £1 per person, which should be given to any committee member whose names are posted in the Club Hut. Please also write your name and visitor's name in the booklet situated in the Club Hut.

Please be aware that ‘signed – in’ visitors are covered by the club insurance and that your application for membership implies acceptance of insurance conditions and responsibilities for both members and their guests.

Once again, members are reminded of their responsibility to ensure their guests are signed in and paid for. We endeavour to keep subscriptions at a modest level and rely on members not to abuse the benefits of membership.

Players are reminded to wear non-marking tennis shoes (not trainers).

All members are welcome to join the regular Sunday afternoon and Tuesday/Thursday evening social tennis sessions (balls provided). On tournament days the courts will not be available for general play.

Should you have any ideas you would like to bring forward to enhance your enjoyment of the club, contact any committee member, all of whom wish you an enjoyable season.

In particular, the committee is keen to encourage junior participation and anyone who has expertise or can assist in this area is most welcome.
